Attendance Policy

Purpose: Regular attendance is essential for student success in an online learning environment. Participation and engagement ensure students stay on track academically and meet state requirements.

Expectations: Students are expected to log in to the Learning Management System (LMS) every school day.

Attendance is measured by:

• Submitting assignments on time

• Participating in live sessions, discussions, or teacher check-ins

• Logging into the attendance form daily

Absences

• Absences must be reported within 24 hours to the school office or attendance system.

• Valid excuses include illness, medical appointments, family emergencies, or religious observances.

• Extended absences may require documentation (doctor’s note, court order, etc.).

Consequences

Excessive unexcused absences may result in:

• Parent/guardian conference

• Academic intervention plan

• Referral to truancy authorities in accordance with state law

• Possible withdrawal from the program
